LBS Student Completes Undergraduate Research Project and Begins a New Graduate Journey at UFMG

Ana Luísa Araújo Bastos successfully completed her undergraduate research project in Computer Science and was admitted, ranking fourth, to the Graduate Program in Computer Science at UFMG, continuing her academic journey at LBS.

The BioSys (LBS) proudly celebrates another important achievement by one of its members. Ana Luísa Araújo Bastos has completed her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at UFMG with the successful defense of her Undergraduate Research Project and, shortly afterward, was admitted in 4th place to the Graduate Program in Computer Science at UFMG.

Ana Luísa's journey with LBS began even before she entered university. During the Mostra Sua UFMG outreach event, she discovered Bioinformatics and realized she could combine her interests in Computer Science and the Life Sciences. Since then, she has developed as an undergraduate researcher at LBS, building a strong foundation in scientific research and innovation.

Her admission to graduate school marks the continuation of an academic path defined by dedication, excellence, and a passion for science. As a member of LBS, Ana Luísa will continue contributing to the development of computational methods for the Life Sciences and to innovative research in Bioinformatics and Artificial Intelligence.
