I hold a PhD in Computer Science from UFMG. My work sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence, software engineering, and bioinformatics. My research focuses on computational approaches for peptide and protein interaction analysis, AI-guided peptide inhibitor design, molecular docking, and machine learning applications in biological data. Alongside my academic work, I have led the development of production AI/ML systems and data-driven products in areas such as computational biology, sports analytics, and agritech, combining software development, deep learning, computer vision, cheminformatics, and software architecture. I am especially interested in turning complex scientific methods into reliable tools that support research, innovation, and real-world decision-making.

EvoPepFold: A Hybrid Evolutionary and Structural Pipeline for AI- Guided Peptide Inhibitor Design Using AlphaFold and Rosetta
EvoPepFold é uma abordagem computacional híbrida para o desenho guiado por IA de peptídeos inibidores. Combinando algoritmos evolutivos, modelagem estrutural com AlphaFold/ColabFold, avaliação energética com Rosetta e simulações de dinâmica molecular, o método foi aplicado à identificação de candidatos peptídicos capazes de interagir de forma estável com a protease principal (MPRO) do SARS-CoV-2. O trabalho contribui para o desenvolvimento racional de antivirais baseados em peptídeos e demonstra o potencial da integração entre bioinformática estrutural, inteligência artificial e otimização evolutiva na descoberta de novos candidatos terapêuticos.
